AKADEMISCHER HINTERGRUND

Pascal ist doktoriert in Wirtschaftsinformatik und hat Forschung in der Schweiz, Deutschland und den USA im Bereich Management- und Organisations-Wissenschaften sowie in Wirtschaftsinformatik betrieben. Als einer der ersten Wissenschaftler hat er sich mit der Wechselwirkung zwischen Strategie, Organisation und Informationstechnologien befasst. Seine Arbeiten basieren einerseits auf der Strukturationstheorie und andererseits auf den Alignment-Ansätzen der University of Boston rund um Michael Scott Morton und Venkat Venkatraman. Seine Studien führten ihn unter anderem zur einer Einladung ans Doctoral Consortium der International Conference of Information Systems und haben ihm den Mertens-Preis für die besten Dissertation 1998 eingebracht. Mit der Gründung des Center for Research in Electronic Commerce und des Electronic Journal of Organizational Virtualness hat er seine akademische Karriere 1999 abgeschlossen. Heute begleitet er Forschungsprojekte als Praxispartner, unterrichtet in MBA-Programmen und ist Mitglied der Kommission für Technologie und Innovation (KTI).

Pascal ist ein Unternehmer und Berater mit zwanzig Jahren Erfahrung in der Entwicklung von Unternehmens- und IT-Strategien vornehmlich für Kunden mit Hauptsitz in der Schweiz. Er hat einige Start-ups mitgegründet, als Interims-Manager Bereiche in grossen und kleinen Organisationen aufgebaut und reorganisiert. Pascal war und ist Mitglied von Verwaltungsräten von Firmen in der ICT- und ausserhalb der ICT-Branche. Er ist lernbegierig, arbeitet gern in kulturell herausfordernden Organisationen und hat einen guten Sinn für das Machbare.
Als Berater hat Pascal Sieber diverse Verbände, Vereine sowie KMU aus Industrie und Handel in der Entwicklung ihrer Strategie unterstützt.
